Protégé 4
Protégé 4.0 recently moved from alpha to beta status. Check out the detailed
beta announcement on the Protégé wiki.
Please note that in the 4.0, end users may choose between a platform independent installer program or a plain ZIP file to install Protégé. For more information
about why you may want to choose one method over the other, read the
"How do I install Protege-OWL" question in the FAQ.

In the download sections below, if an installation is labeled as "full", it includes the Core
Protégé system, the
Protégé-Frames editor,
the
Protégé-OWL editor, and many optional
plug-ins. Please note that if you are
only interested in OWL, you can download the
full version and choose "Basic + OWL" during the installation process.
If an installation is labeled as "basic", it includes only the Core Protégé system and
the
Protégé-Frames editor.
Protégé 3.3.1 is the current "release" version and 3.4 beta is slated for release in October of 2008.
There are many bug fixes and optimizations that have gone into the 3.4 beta series and as such, this is the version we
currently recommend to end users.
